SEOUL, Feb. 20 (Korea Bizwire) — A drunken man was arrested in the National Assembly compound in the wee hours Tuesday after he trespassed into the compound and then smashed a car window and brandished a kitchen knife toward a policeman.
The man in his 50s, whose identity was withheld, climbed over the wall into the Assembly compound at around 2:20 a.m. and broke a car’s window with the knife and pounded on a window of a guard post, according to police.
The man also brandished the knife at a policeman trying to restrain him, but no one was hurt.
Police plan to look into the motive of the crime and consider seeking a warrant to formally arrest him.
