SEOUL, May 21 (Korea Bizwire)A mobile-video media commerce selling beauty products at the lowest prices will be soon launched in June.

“Women’s Talk,” Korea’s first media commerce service, will begin its first broadcasting on June 9 in which celebrities introduce new beauty brands and give out beauty tips and know-how from midnight every day. Selected brands will be sold at the lowest possible prices for a certain period of time in the site.

With a distinctive distribution structure in which the platform operator pays all the costs for the promotion of the beauty brands such as costs for video production and fashion models on the condition that these brands supply their beauty goods at the lowest prices among other commercial sites, it can stick to the lowest price policy.

It is the first such distribution structure that the platform operator makes direct investment in the brands being sold. Currently, some 100 beauty brands like Songhak, Charmzone, Hankook Cosmetics and Elishacoy joined in “Women’s Talk” in hoping to boost their brand images through the social network space and more cosmetics companies are waiting in line to enter into the platform.

Besides these cosmetics companies, Women’s Talk also invites other beauty brands making basic cosmetics and makeup products to enter the platform. Selected beauty brands can obtain such benefits of brand promotion and can sell their products on Women’s Talk and other e-commerce companies like CJ O’clock, eBay, SK Planet’s T-Shopping and LG Uplus.

Kim Kang-il, president of Cracle Factory, operator of Women’s Talk, said, “It is a well-known fact that the beauty product market is saturated. Although a lot of products are offered in the market, there is not much demand to speak of. Women’s Talk will give a chance to brands with good products but without distribution channels to open up their sales routes.”

“Rather than selling many products, we want to set up a win-win cosmetics distribution channel for both consumers and beauty brands by introducing good products to consumers. I hope Women’s Talk could become a platform of infinite possibilities for beauty brands,” he added.
