SEOUL, Jan.29 (Korea Bizwire) – The Korean drama ‘My Love from Another Star’, which created a ‘Chicken and Beer’ craze in China, will be aired on Chinese TV from January 29.
HB Entertainment, the production company behind the hit show, announced that the drama will be aired on Anhui Satellite TV starting at 10 p.m. on January 29. The company also added that the precise programming has yet to be confirmed.
‘My Love from Another Star’ was aired on SBS TV from December 18, 2013 to February 27, 2014. The drama shook the Chinese continent, garnering four billion views through online streaming sites.
However, the drama couldn’t pass all the regulations and deliberations of Chinese television, and is now going on air two years after the original release in Korea.
Representatives from HB Entertainment commented that they have handed over all of the Chinese rights to Anhui Satellite TV, but have not yet been informed of the precise dates and times that the individual episodes will air. They added that they are checking the correct information regarding programming.
In the meantime, ‘My Love from Another Star’ was also supposed to be released as a movie through a re-edit of the drama, but those plans have been canceled.
