SEOUL, May 21 (Korea Bizwire) – The Navy said Wednesday it will host a biennial international maritime defense exhibition in the southeastern city of Busan next week.
The four-day International Maritime Defense Industry Exhibition will kick off next Wednesday at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center in the port city, about 320 kilometers southeast of Seoul, bringing together over 200 defense companies from 14 countries.
The event will feature various warships and equipment, including the ROKS Marado amphibious landing ship, the ROKS Gyeongnam frigate and the Korean Amphibious Assault Vehicle, according to the Navy.
The event is also expected to be attended by foreign delegations from 30 countries, with the Navy planning to hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the exhibition to discuss ways to boost maritime security cooperation.
