SEOUL, Oct. 16 (Korea Bizwire) – A new trend in the cosmetics industry is seeing companies launch products with antioxidant effects.
Antioxidants prevent and suppress active oxygen from being formed in the human body.
Each brand is pointing out that antioxidants are needed to keep the skin healthy when seasons change and the skin’s natural oil and water balance of the skin is disrupted.
Kiehl’s launched a highly enriched oil type facial essence with antioxidant effects. The company explained that the formula strengthens the skin barrier, offering protection from external stimulus.
Biotherm released its ‘Liquid Glow Skin Best’ oil with astaxanthin components found in red algae that live in the deep ocean. Blended with various oils from seeds and flowers, the product is said to be effective in enhancing elasticity and providing nourishment to the skin.
Caudalie is advertising a new product called ‘Polyphenols C15′ as an antioxidant moisturizer that protects the skin from harmful oxygen.
LG Household & Health Care also launched ‘The Saga of Su, Ga In Essence’, which contains antioxidant components extracted from peony blossoms. Company officials explained that the product moisturizes skin within 10 seconds of washing one’s face.
