SEOUL, Nov. 26 (Korea Bizwire) — The license for the Korean comic book that Netflix’s original series “Hellbound” is based on is being exported worldwide.
The Seoul-based Munhakdongne Publishing Group, the comic book’s publisher, said Thursday that licenses have been sold to 11 countries around the world including the United States, Japan and France.
Japan’s Futabasha Publishers bought the license for the comic book and recently released a Japanese translation.
Dark Horse Comics, the leading graphic novel publisher for “Star Wars,” “Avatar” and other famous works in the U.S., will be in charge of publishing the comic book’s English translation.
“Hellbound” has topped Netflix’s global charts for television programs.
