BUSAN, April 28 (Korea Bizwire) — The 18th Busan Super Cup International Yacht Race kicked off on April 28 off the coast of Busan, South Korea, with more than 300 sailors from 32 teams and 10 countries competing in two categories.

The event is the oldest and most prestigious cruiser sailing regatta in Korea and includes side events aimed at raising awareness about marine waste upcycling and citizen observation boats.

City officials hope the regatta will promote marine leisure attractions for Busan citizens and enhance the city’s reputation as an international tourist destination, particularly as they aim to host the 2030 Busan World Expo.
