BUSAN, May 6 (Korea Bizwire) — The Busanjin-gu District Office held a special exhibition featuring 40 photographs of illegally parked and stopped cars, at the South Gate of Busan Citizen Park on May 6.
This exhibition of shame presented various prints of cars parked on sidewalks, crosswalks, near bus stops and under CCTV surveillance cameras.
One of the photographs showed a car parked in front of a bus stop, forcing school girls to dangerously walk past the car to get on and off a bus.
Another photograph showed a car parked right next to a railroad. There was also a depiction of two cars parked on a winding road, making it difficult and risky for cars to navigate safely.
There were also photographs of an illegally parked car whose license plate is shielded from CCTV view by a DIY plate cover, two cars parked in a safety zone, and a car parked in front of a school gate.
An official from the district office said that the special exhibition was planned to raise awareness about the dangers of illegal parking. The photographs were taken by officials on duty.
