SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Korea Bizwire) – A rising number of big companies in South Korea are joining the trend of offering commutes to “hub offices” with the intention of improving working location flexibility down the road.
POSCO Group announced it will operate hub offices (or base offices) in Yeouido and Euljiro, in downtown Seoul, from Monday.
The company said as the nation is shifting to gradual normalcy with the “With Corona” scheme, it is also pursuing a plan to reduce the commuting time for all its employees so that they can work in a much more flexible working environment.
Employees working at affiliates of the group including POSCO International Corp., POSCO Engineering & Construction Co. and POSCO ICT Co. can take advantage of the system as well.
The group is considering expanding the number of eligible employees for the new hub offices.
Employees who secured prior approval and reservation can go to their closest hub office to work, instead of going all the way to the headquarters.
