SEOUL, Nov. 6 (Korea Bizwire) – Starting Monday, Korean cultural heritage will be featured on a huge billboard at Piccadilly Circus, one of the most popular areas of London, the South Korean government has said.

The one-minute-long advertisement will run on the billboard owned by LG Electronics in the square 48 times a day till Nov. 30, the Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) said.

The video co-produced by the CHA and its affiliate the Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation will introduce 12 cultural heritage items, including Seokguram Grotto and Bulguk Temple in Gyeongju, Baekje Historic Areas, Jongmyo Shrine and Changdeok Palace in central Seoul and the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty.

Since 2015, LG Electronics have engaged in various activities to support Korean cultural heritage under an agreement with the cultural heritage authorities.

“We hope many foreigners will feel positive about Korean cultural assets and come to visit Korea after watching the ad,” a CHA official said.
