SEOUL, April 12 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics Co. said Thursday that sales of its premium QLED TVs are growing sharply in the United States, as its products are continuing to carve out larger presences in overseas markets.
The South Korean tech giant said sales of the QLED TVs in the United States rose seven-fold on-year over the past four weeks after releasing new models in the market last month. Samsung did not provide detailed shipment figures.
Samsung said QLED TVs stand out from rivals as they are capable of delivering accurate color at various angles.
“The 2018 models of QLED TVs come with resolution-related know-how mastered by Samsung Electronics Co., which has been the world’s No. 1 player in the TV industry for 12 years in a row,” Samsung Electronics said.
The company said not only do its TVs come with the best resolution, they also come with top-notch design and artificial intelligence technology, providing smarter experiences to users.
Samsung Electronics said its 2018 models of QLED TVs have been receiving positive feedback from U.S. media, including Forbes, HD Guru, and AVS Forum. The company also said Britain-based Trust Review gave a five-star grading to its QLED TV.
