SEOUL, Aug. 27 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics is set to launch two new premium home cinema projectors on September 1, expanding its high-end home entertainment offerings.

The company announced on August 27 that the 2024 models of its The Premiere series – The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 – can project screens of up to 130 inches and 120 inches respectively. Employing ultra-short throw technology, these projectors can be easily installed close to a wall without complicated setup procedures.

The Premiere 9 incorporates triple laser technology, delivering vibrant colors and brightness up to 3,450 lumens. Its counterpart, The Premiere 7, offers a maximum brightness of 2,500 lumens. Both models boast impressive color reproduction, with The Premiere 9 achieving up to 154% of the DCI-P3 color gamut standard set by the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI), while The Premiere 7 reaches 100%.

Both projectors feature HDR10+ technology, ensuring clear and vivid picture quality even in bright environments. They also come equipped with AI upscaling technology that enhances content to 4K resolution, and a vision booster that automatically adjusts color and contrast based on ambient lighting conditions.

On the audio front, the projectors include built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos technology, providing a superior sound experience without the need for additional equipment.

The Premiere series runs on Samsung’s Tizen OS, allowing access to streaming services such as Samsung TV Plus, Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Video. Through Samsung Gaming Hub, users can enjoy cloud-based games without additional devices.

The projectors also integrate with Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem, enabling control of connected home devices like lighting, thermostats, and security systems. A custom ambient mode allows for personalized interior design options.

Samsung plans to showcase the 2024 The Premiere models at IFA 2024, Europe’s largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition, scheduled for September 6-10 in Berlin, Germany.

Kim Cheol-gi, vice president of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, said, “The Premiere combines Samsung’s advanced laser technology with superior picture quality and immersive sound. We will continue to innovate and transform everyday living spaces into immersive hubs, setting new standards for home entertainment.”
