RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J., June 06 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced a strategic partnership  with music streaming service, Spotify. More than 10 million Spotify  Premium users will now be able to control their Samsung speakers  directly from the Spotify app. Samsung Shape Wireless Audio Multiroom is  the first product in the world that will let Spotify Connect stream  music to more than two speakers, enabling stereo or multi-room listening.

“More than ever before, Samsung is giving consumers seamless ways to  better integrate sound and music in their daily lives,” said Eric Jung,  Vice President of the Visual Display business at Samsung Electronics.  “We are excited to bring Spotify’s premium streaming music service to  our Shape Wireless Audio-Multiroom ecosystem. It gives our customers  more options to connect to and customize their favorite music, taking  the listening experience to the next level.”

Together, Samsung and Spotify will continue to make it easier for  consumers to unleash the music from their portable devices, to the  powerful speakers within the Samsung Shape Wireless Audio-Multiroom  ecosystem. The partnership allows millions of music-lovers to enjoy  music from Spotify’s curated playlists, personalized radio and huge  catalogue of songs in any room of the house. The two partners will also  be offering various joint promotions that users can access both online  and offline.

Samsung’s Shape Wireless Audio-Multiroom speakers can be used alone or  wirelessly with other Samsung devices within the ecosystem, including  soundbars, home entertainment systems and Blu-ray players via Wi-Fi to  create a multi-room audio system. The speakers are controlled from the  free downloadable Samsung Multiroom app and facilitated through an easy  plug-and-play installation process. With Samsung’s Shape M5 & M7  Wireless Audio Speakers, users can even pair their phone using the  speaker’s NFC functionality; consumers simply tap their smartphone to  the Shape speaker to instantly play music from their mobile device.

Samsung is committed to providing customers with an even richer  listening experience and will continue to expand the pool of music  streaming services, giving users more options to be more in tune with  their music and entertainment passions.
