SEOUL, June 9 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics Co. on Thursday held the Bespoke Life 2023 event online to showcase its various efforts towards creating a sustainable future.
As part of these efforts, Samsung has decided to enable the artificial intelligence (AI) energy-saving mode of SmartThings Energy for its Bespoke home appliances, including refrigerators and washing machines.
They are also introducing an eco-heating system, expanding its application to 65 countries worldwide.
One notable initiative by Samsung is the release of the Less Microfiber external washing machine filter.
This filter, made from recycled plastic material, can effectively filter out up to 98 percent of microplastics.
Initially launched in South Korea, it will be available in Britain and New Zealand later this month, followed by the North American and European markets in the third quarter.
To enhance connectivity, Samsung has incorporated Wi-Fi functionality into all newly released Bespoke products this year.
Additionally, the tech giant integrated AI technology into seven product categories, including refrigerators and dishwashers, for sale in overseas markets.
Moreover, Samsung plans to launch a limited edition of the Bespoke refrigerator in collaboration with Italy’s creative studio TOILET PAPER. This collaboration will be available in South Korea, Britain, and the United States.
