JEJU, March 30 (Korea Bizwire) — A new coastal bridge has been built at Wimi Port, located on the southern coast of Jeju Island looking out over the South Sea.
The Jeju provincial government said Wednesday it had completed the construction of a new pedestrian bridge at Wimi Port, located along Jeju’s Olle Trail 5.
The WE·ME Way Bridge, which extends 198 meters, was built at a cost of 7.8 billion won (US$5.98 million), with construction beginning in April 2021.
Alongside the WE·ME Way Bridge, 62-meter and 28-meter bridges have also been built to improve pedestrian access to piers.
Public berthing facilities with 42 berths and 130-meter-long breakwaters are currently being built, with construction expected to be completed by August.
