SEJONG, Dec.28 (Korea Bizwire) – The National Oceanographic Research Institute (NORI) announced that they have developed a ‘Sea Road View’, (www.khoa.go.kr/baroview) which presents the seas in panoramic images.
Various information on the sea such as how it changes as the tides change and information about current weather is provided through pictures and videos.
Images and video footages of seas near the Busan harbor route and Inchon harbor route between May and September will be provided starting from January 2016.
NORI anticipates that the Sea Road View will be useful in various marine industries such as yachting, sea tourism and the management of ports.
NORI plans to create the Sea Road View of other major harbors and tourist spots, and enlarge the service for mobile users; currently it is only available on the PC.
