SEOUL, Oct. 21 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government said Wednesday that it will present a ‘welcome box’ containing a Seoul map and first aid kits to young single-person households who move from other provinces.
The welcome boxes will be presented to individuals between 19 and 29 years of age who moved to Seoul in the past year. By drawing lots among online applicants, the boxes will be delivered by November to 3,600 single person households.
The welcome boxes contain a guide book introducing the city government’s policy for youth, a Seoul map, a first aid kit, a crime prevention kit, and one of home training, tableware and home interior sets that can be selected by applicants.
The number of individuals between 19 to 34 years of age who moved to Seoul from other provinces has been on an upward trend over the past four years, rising to 614,152 last year from 552,442 in 2017, according to Statistics Korea.
