SEOUL, Aug. 15 (Korea Bizwire) – In a solemn ceremony marking the 79th anniversary of Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon participated in the traditional bell-ringing event at Bosingak Pavilion in Jongno on August 15.

The annual ceremony, a cornerstone of Korea’s Liberation Day celebrations, saw Oh join a group of 11 distinguished individuals in ringing the historic bell.

Among the participants was Huh Mi-mi, a 2024 Paris Olympics judo silver medalist and the great-great-granddaughter of the late independence activist Heo Seok.
