SEOUL, South Korea, Sept 24 (Korea Bizwire) – Seoul Metro will provide hot soup with rice for those subway passengers who go to work on an empty stomach. As part of a campaign to raise awareness on the importance of good, hearty meal in the morning, Seoul Metro, the company operating Seoul’s subway lines No. 1 to 4, will give away 1,000 cups of hot soup a day for five days between September 23 and 27 at five stations including City Hall (Line No. 1), Samseong (No. 2), Gyeongbok Palace (No. 3), Myeongdong (No. 4), and Jamshil (No. 2).
The campaign, to be held between 8 and 9 am from Monday to Friday, will be sponsored by food company Chung Jung Won. Seoul Metro will also promote the “Good Morning, Seoul” campaign initiated by the Seoul Metropolitan City government through subway announcements and station postings.
A Seoul Metro official said, “We want Seoul citizens to go to work invigorated after having hot soup with us. We hope no one leaves home without having breakfast.”
