SEOUL, Aug. 20 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul has been voted the world’s most beloved city by younger travelers for the fourth consecutive year, cementing its reputation as a global cultural and tourism hub amid the surging popularity of Korean content such as Netflix’s hit animation KPop Demon Hunters.

The city government and the Seoul Tourism Organization said Wednesday that Seoul won the “Favorite Worldwide City” award at the 2025 Trazees, an annual poll conducted by the U.S.-based travel outlet Trazee Travel. Dublin, Hong Kong and London followed in the rankings.

Officials credited Seoul’s continued appeal to millennials and Gen Z to the worldwide spread of K-culture, the city’s blend of tradition and modernity, its investment in digital tourism infrastructure, and its growing profile as a major MICE destination — shorthand for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions.

Seoul has also collected other global accolades. Travel platform TripAdvisor recently ranked it the best city for solo travel in 2025, while Global Traveler named it a top MICE city for the tenth year running. The Union of International Associations placed Seoul first in Asia and third worldwide for international conferences hosted.

“Seoul’s rise as both a cultural and business destination underscores the city’s unique ability to attract the world’s younger generations,” said Gil Ki-yeon, CEO of the Seoul Tourism Organization. City officials added they plan to expand marketing and develop new tourism experiences tailored to the tastes of younger visitors.

“Being chosen No. 1 for four straight years proves Seoul’s brand value and competitiveness as a global cultural city,” said Koo Jong-won, head of the city’s tourism bureau.
