SEOUL, Sept. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government has unveiled 20 new places to visit that the city believes could be the next hot spots, including a part of Deoksugung Doldam-gil that has been closed to the public for over six decades.
According to the new map released by the Seoul Metropolitan Government on Sunday, 20 places located throughout the city were selected in various fields including history, culture, science, business, and architecture as new hot spots, all of which are either new or about to open.
Among the new attractions is a part of the trail alongside Deoksugung Palace, also known as Deoksugung Doldam-gil, which has been made open to the public after the Seoul government and the British Embassy in Seoul, which owns the land, reached an agreement.
A secret basement bunker in Yeouido, which was built in 1970 as a military facility and renovated into an exhibition hall, was also listed among the top 20 spots.
Seoullo 7017, a bridge-turned-sky garden that attracted over 3.8 million people in the 100 days after its opening also made it to the list thanks to its family-friendliness.

In addition, the Seoul government is holding an event from September 27 to October 23 to reward 700 people who upload pictures taken at the 20 spots on social media with giveaways including coffee gift cards.
