Seoulites Pick Shared Bicycle Service as Seoul’s Best Shared Service

SEOUL, Dec. 27 (Korea Bizwire) Ttareungi, Seoul’s shared bicycle service, showed the highest usage among all shared services and policies offered by the Seoul city government.

Local authorities conducted a survey of 1,000 Seoulites, 59.6 percent of whom said they had used at least one or more shared services offered by the city.

Among respondents, 44.5 percent said that they had used the shared bicycle service at least once, followed by a car-sharing service Nanum Car (20.5 percent), shared parking lots (17.5 percent), and Open Public Data (17.1 percent).

The Open Public Data service has been used 25.2 times per person on average, followed by Ttareungi (13.4 times), and shared parking lots (10 times).

Respondents were highly satisfied with most of the city’s shared services. They were most satisfied with toy and children’s clothes sharing services (96 percent), followed by Ttareungi (93.6 percent), and Nanum Car (92.1 percent).

At 98.8 percent, almost all of the respondents said they had heard about at least one of the 10 shared services offered by Seoul’s city government.

Another 13.7 percent said they were well aware of the services, while 49 percent said they had only heard about the name.

Public awareness of Seoul’s shared services has been rising from 49.3 percent in early 2016 to 59.6 percent in late 2018.

The survey also revealed that 95.2 percent of respondents were aware of the shared bicycle service. Public awareness for Nanum Car came in second at 71.6 percent.
