SEOUL, April 24 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the number of passengers on autonomous vehicles has exceeded 20,000 after 14 months of operation, with the buses and cars operating in Sangam, Cheonggyecheon, and the Blue House. The autonomous bus at the Blue House has been popular with visitors, with 14,250 people using it in just four months.
Various events have been organized to celebrate the 20,000th passenger, and for the month of May, all autonomous vehicles can be ridden for free. Children and teenagers will receive souvenirs, and those who leave a review will receive coffee coupons worth 5,000 won. The goal is to provide citizens in the city center with autonomous vehicles, and the hope is that families will have the opportunity to experience them together during Family Month.
