SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Korea Bizwire) — The Gwanghwamun Bookyard in Seoul, situated within Gwanghwamun Square, has reopened its doors to serve the people of Seoul, embracing the idea of a “library after dark” or “Library at Night.”
The Seoul Metropolitan Government has officially announced the resumption of operations for the Seoul Outdoor Library, which had temporarily closed during the scorching months of July and August. This reopening is effective as of September 2.
In the month of September, the library will welcome visitors from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., carefully timed to offer a reprieve from the late summer heat. As we transition into October and November, the library will adjust its hours to accommodate a “daytime library” schedule, opening from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Indoor spaces, namely the Gwanghwamun Lounge and Sejong Lounge, will be accessible from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Looking ahead to the coming month, The Gwanghwamun Bookyard (Seoul Outdoor Library) has exciting plans for the Romantic Night in Gwanghwamun Bookyard event. Attendees can savor the beauty of a Seoul autumn evening while enjoying musical performances featuring jazz and classical music, movie screenings, and more.
To enhance the visitor experience, a new ‘photo zone’ will be installed, providing an opportunity for guests to capture lasting memories of their time at the Gwanghwamun Bookyard event.
