SEOUL, Aug. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — SK Telecom Co., South Korea’s largest wireless carrier, said Thursday it has utilized artificial intelligence (AI) technology to generate vivid videos of prominent independence activists, whose images have remained blurry in photographs.
The video media art showcases historical figures such as Ahn Jung-geun and Yu Gwan-sun, all produced using SK Telecom’s digital remastering technology Supernova.
The videos will be unveiled to the public starting Friday at the Independence Hall of Korea in Cheonan, 90 kilometers south of Seoul.
SK Telecom will also showcase a robot that offers historical commentary on the independence movement and provides an immersive exhibition experience through augmented reality (AR) technology.
