South Korea Celebrates First ‘Library Day’

SEOUL, April 13 (Korea Bizwire)The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Wednesday celebrated the first Library Day (April 12).

Library Day aims to promote the social and cultural value of libraries and their usage.

The ceremony took place at the National Library of Korea. The event included a proclamation ceremony for Library Day and an award ceremony for various individuals who have contributed to the library industry.

Citizens were also invited to a special event called the Library Camp at Gwanghwamun Square, connecting with public libraries and library organizations.

Various exhibitions and performances were held, with attendees also contributing to the process of creating audiobooks for the visually impaired.
