SEOUL, Dec. 22 (Korea Bizwire) – The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has launched Hiker Street, a new immersive exhibition at its flagship tourist hub, Hiker Ground, in Seoul’s Jung-gu district.
The exhibit aims to showcase everyday Korean life through innovative, interactive experiences.
Hiker Street, a tourism promotion center catering to global Gen Z and millennials with a focus on K-culture and Hallyu content, has become a popular destination since its opening in July 2022, attracting over 1.85 million visitors.
The new exhibition, themed Dailycation, features a variety of engaging zones:
- Intro: A recreation of Korean streets starting from a subway entrance.
- BeHindTheScene: A glimpse into Korean beauty trends.
- DJ Station: Iconic landmarks transformed into vibrant backdrops.
- Art Street: Korean street scenes reimagined through graffiti.
- Hiker Express: Visitors create unique convenience store snacks.
- Hiker Karaoke: Experience K-pop culture in a karaoke room.
- Streaming Studio: Simulate a live food-streaming experience.
Designed to turn familiar moments into memorable travel experiences, Hiker Street encourages active visitor engagement.
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., except on Mondays, admission is free.
“This is not just a passive, one-time exhibition but an interactive space where visitors can generate and share their own content,” said Kwon Jong-sul, Director of Corporate Support at KTO. “We aim to make Hiker Ground a landmark for Korean tourism by continually integrating trendy and attractive travel content.”
Hiker Street represents KTO’s latest effort to position South Korea as a global tourism destination by blending tradition with modern experiential offerings.
