SEOUL, Oct. 1 (Korea Bizwire) – The National Gugak Center is staging a special performance for new moms and dads that can’t even dream of enjoying any kind of cultural event because of their babies.
The ‘Dodam Dodam Stroller Concert’ will be held at the outdoor stage of the National Gugak Center on October 9 at 3 p.m.
‘Dodam Dodam’ is a Korean expression that describes a child growing up well in good health. Just like the title, various programs appropriate for an entire family will be staged. Since the performances are for toddlers and their families, visitors can enjoy the show even if their baby is screaming.
Familiar lullabies will be played, and children’s plays will be staged, stimulating the senses of toddlers. In addition, the audience and dancers from the National Gugak Center can bond as one through Ganggangsullae, a traditional dance in which people hold hands and go round and round forming a circle.
Additional activities for children such as face painting and balloon art will be provided an hour before the performance.
Organizers expressed their intentions in creating the concert. “I hope children as well as the parents can find emotional stability through traditional Korean music, and also get influenced in developing sensibility,” said Kim Hae-suk, the head of the National Gugak Center.
The performancere is free. Further information can be obtained by calling ☎ 02-580-3300.
