The five plans consist of two each from SK Telecom and KT, and one from LG Uplus. An eSIM enables mobile data usage through an identification chip embedded in a vehicle without requiring a separate physical chip.

Once all the data provided is used, the five plans allow users to continue to use their data within the parent company’s data sharing limits. Customers of BMW vehicles equipped with eSIM and the latest version of the vehicle software (OS 8) can subscribe to the in-vehicle eSIM service through the ‘MyBMW’ app.
