SEOUL, March 9 (Korea Bizwire)Amid the spiraling new coronavirus outbreak, interest is rising in sterilization methods to prevent the spread of the virus.

South Korean pharmaceutical and chemical company Yuhan Corp., which produces sodium hypochlorite, has published proper sterilization methods in accordance with the government’s disinfection guidelines on its corporate website.

For example, when sterilizing door handles, frequently used handles, and toilet surfaces, the sodium hypochlorite solution should be wiped off with a cloth.

The virus is known to survive longer on the surface of hard objects than it is in the atmosphere.

However, if sprayed directly onto an infectious substance, the material can become aerosolized and float in the air, so the diluted solution should not be sprayed with a sprayer.
