SEOUL, Aug. 9 (Korea Bizwire) – The V Coloring service, jointly provided by the three major telecommunications companies in South Korea, announced on August 8 that it will be collaborating with Professor Seo Kyoung-duk from Sungshin Women’s University and the Dokdo Expedition Team on a new project.
V Coloring is a video ringtone service that allows customers to set a pre-selected video to be displayed on the caller’s phone until the call is answered.
Seo and 14 expedition team members will embark on a two-day trip to Dokdo and Ulleungdo islands next month to explore the historical significance and the importance of preserving these regions.
Until September 3, interested individuals can apply to join the expedition team by watching the “Professor Seo Kyoung-duk’s Dokdo Story” video on the V Coloring YouTube channel and leaving a comment explaining why they want to participate. The final team will be selected through an evaluation process.
To raise awareness about Dokdo among the youth, V Coloring is also launching the “Dokdo Love Practice Donation Event.” Until August 15, if customers set Dokdo-related videos as their V Coloring ringtone, a portion of the monthly subscription fee (3,300 won) will be donated to the Dokdo School.
“Protecting Dokdo starts not just from remembering it on special days like Liberation Day, but from having a sense of familiarity with Dokdo in our daily lives,” Seo emphasized. He expressed hope that the new project would encourage more people to take interest in Dokdo and visit the island.
