SEOUL, May 20 (Korea Bizwire) — Sake importer Nihonshu Korea has lowered prices by up to 30 percent for 30 kinds of imported Sake as the Japanese Yen weakens.
Special Sakes from various Japanese regions will be more affordable in Korea. Yang Byeong-il, director of Nihonshu Korea, said that the company has lowered prices to revive the Sake boom that swept Korea in the mid-2000s. Prestigious Sake brands widely known in Japan, including Onna Nakase Junmai Daiginjo, Goku Ryu Junmai Daiginjo, and Meibo Yowano Tsuki, are also to be sold at 20~30 percent lower prices.
