SEOUL, Oct. 17 (Korea Bizwire) — Yuhan-Kimberly Ltd. announced Tuesday the release of the new Monit & Huggies Smart Baby Monitor that applies IoT technology to monitor baby diapers and other functions that assist childcare.
Yuhan-Kimberly, in collaboration with Monit, a developer of smart baby monitors, launched the Huggies IoT Service on momQ, Yuhan-Kimberly’s online store, allowing customers to download a mobile application that works alongside with baby monitors, including functions like an alarm that detects soiled diapers, an air quality monitor, a breast-feeding lamp, and tools that can analyze the frequency and pattern of baby bowel movements.
The sensors can easily be attached to diapers without touching or irritating baby skin.
They detect the types and patterns of soiled diapers with precision, helping parents know in real-time when they should change diapers. This helps prevent rash and minimizes stress for the baby.
Also, the sensor provides monitoring on the appropriate temperature, humidity, and VOC, sending an alarm to parents if air quality deviates from a certain threshold.
“Our smart baby monitor uses cutting-edge information technology to provide comfort to the baby as well as convenience to parents,” an associate from Yuhan-Kimberly said.
