SEOUL, July 30 (Korea Bizwire) – With the return of the vacation season, ‘11th street‘ announced they would be holding a special promotion for travel packages until August 9.
The ‘Silkroad Desert Camp’, where you can experience the lives of Mongolian nomads, costs 2,036,100 won; the ‘Ice Field Parkway’, where you can experience Canadian glaciers, is 2,760,000 won; and the ‘African Package’, in which you visit Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa is 3,300,000 won.
A package to Iquitos, in northern Peru, goes for 5,501,600 won, while an ‘Everest Base Camp Experience’ is 1,840,000 won, and a ‘Cowboy Tour’ ticket that allows travelers to ride horses in the Las Vegas desert, is 176,000 won.
There is a growing interest among travelers in special travel packages that include various novel experiences. According to 11th Street, the number of people that went abroad during the past 2 months (June 1 to July 27) more than doubled compared to the same period last year, and there was an increase in people that traveled to remote areas like Africa, Mount Everest, and the Amazon.
The online shopping portal explained the reasons behind this change. “Since many travels that were unfamiliar to people like camping in the desert, and exploring glaciers and jungles were shown on TV, travelers are increasingly willing to visit these new places.”
