SEOUL, Apr. 21 (Korea Bizwire) — The 2015 Shanghai Motor Show opened on April 20, and surprised its visitors with a lack of female models in sexy outfits, as the motor show committee had ordered participating vehicle companies not to employ any female models, one of main attractions of the show.
The show was famous for its female models in miniskirts and glamorous outfits; however, the committee changed its guidelines in order to be in accordance with Chinese society’s recent emphasis on anti-corruption.
Some carmakers used interesting tactics to draw attention instead of attractive female models, such as presenting a vehicle being cleaned by a muscular male model while a moderately dressed female model sketched the scene.
Hyundai Motors, in a show of restraint, deployed four unmanned vehicles to promote its new Tucson model.
