DAEGU & SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Korea Bizwire) – The Daegu International Future Auto and Mobility Expo 2023 commenced on October 19 at the Daegu Exco, offering a three-day showcase of current and forthcoming mobility technologies. The event spotlights innovations in electric vehicles, autonomous driving, and urban air traffic (UAM).
Prominent global brands like Hyundai Kia Motors, Tesla, GM, Audi, BMW, Lexus, and Volvo Trucks actively participated in this seventh edition of the exhibition.
Notably, Hyundai Motor Company occupied a 315-square-meter exhibition space, where they unveiled the Ioniq 5N, which recently made history as the fastest car produced by a Korean automaker. Within this expansive area, Hyundai showcased the IONIQ 5N, the IONIQ 6, and the all-new Kona Electric.
These vehicles feature cutting-edge automation technology designed to enhance driving performance. Visitors could also partake in test drives of the IONIQ 6 and experience camping using Hyundai’s V2L technology, which enables the vehicle’s battery power to be shared with external devices.
Kia, on the other hand, presented a diverse range of electric vehicles, including the EV9 GT line built on its EV platform E-GMP. They also highlighted high-performance models like the EV6 GT and Ray EV.
Samsung SDI also participated in this year’s exhibition, focusing on electric vehicle battery products and technologies with a strong emphasis on “super-gap technological competitiveness.”
Their showcase included the next-generation lineup of 46-pie cylindrical batteries, encompassing all-solid-state batteries, and premium battery products such as the P6 (6th generation prismatic battery) and P5 (5th generation prismatic battery).
