Gender Ministry Holds Family Event for Migrant Women

SEOUL, Nov. 27 (Korea Bizwire)The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family is currently hosting a cultural event inviting parents of married migrant women to Korea for four days, starting yesterday.

A total of 33 families from Vietnam, 11 families from Cambodia and two families from Myanmar were invited.

The event aims to help migrant women who cite “loneliness” as the biggest impediment to feeling settled in South Korea.

Participating families will visit Gyeongbok Palace, the Korean Folk Village, and theme parks to experience the beauty and culture of the nation.
