BUSAN, July 15 (Korea Bizwire) — A pet cafe that began as part of a community project to revitalize the former Gupo dog meat market area in Busan’s Buk District opened its doors on Tuesday.
Covering an area of 155 square meters, the cafe houses a playground, pet hotel, pet salon, and cafe for visitors.
The cafe will also hold various education programs on pets such as cooking homemade pet snacks.
The new pet cafe will generate more jobs for the local community, Buk District explained.
The district plans to support local residents working at the cafe to acquire various certificates related to pet care to help them start their own businesses.
