SEOUL, Dec. 15 (Korea Bizwire) — The indoor fashion industry is experiencing a sales boom with the third wave of the coronavirus outbreak sweeping across the country.
SPAO, a specialty retailer of private-label apparel (SPA) brand run by E-Land World Ltd., reported a 180 percent increase in pajama sales between September and November compared to the same period last year.
Sales of loungewear at BYC Co., SBW Inc., and Vivien Co. rose by 37, 34, and 20 percent, respectively.
Other fashion brands continue to struggle as fewer people are buying outdoor clothes following the coronavirus outbreak.
“Padded coat sales between November and December 9 were lower than the same period last year,” said a source from LF, a fashion company.
Kolon Sport’s padded coat sales failed to exceed last year’s records.
