ANDONG, July 15 (Korea Bizwire) — North Gyeongsang Province said Wednesday that it will host a skyline tour that departs from Daegu Airport, flies over South Korea’s easternmost islets of Dokdo and nearby Ulleung Island, and returns to Daegu on National Liberation Day.
A light jet will depart from Daegu Airport at 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 15, tour around the skylines of Ulleung Island and Dokdo for two hours, and return to Daegu.
The provincial government office will offer free seats for the skyline tour to 30 people who participate in an online lottery event before Aug. 4.
The province rented an ATR72-500, a 50-passenger light aircraft, for the occasion. The aircraft will be introduced on routes to and from from Ulleung Airport, which is scheduled for completion by 2025.
