SEOUL, Feb. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — With the presidential election taking place in less than a month, presidential candidates are focusing on creating effective campaign strategies that require fewer people amid the pandemic.
The ruling Democratic Party is considering the introduction of ‘drive-in’ campaigns, in which the party’s presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung will give outdoor speeches to supporters in their cars.
The party is also preparing for an online campaign where officials will meet with supporters around the world through video conference platforms.
The opposition People Power Party is also focusing on garnering the most attention from the public without mobilizing a large number of people.
First off, the opposition party plans to allow any pre-registered supporters to get on board presidential candidate Yoon Suk-yeol’s campaign truck. The party will be releasing a separate app for pre-registration.
Also, the so-called ‘AI Yoon Suk-yeol,’ the Yoon’s avatar, will screen on campaign trucks to introduce local issues and vows throughout the country.
