SEOUL, Oct. 28 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics began rolling out its innovative curve edged smartphone “Galaxy Note Edge” on October 28 through SK Telecom, three days earlier than iPhone 6 to be released in Korea on October 31.
The Note Edge has a curved right edge screen which functions independently of the main screen. On the edged screen, it contains some contextual controls, app shortcuts, notifications like sports scores, and even stock information. When on standby, it will display the date, time, and alarm information.
The Note Edge equipped with a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and a 3GB RAM is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset and a quad-core 2.7GHz processor. It comes in 32GB and 64GB storage variants with microSD card support of up to 128GB. With two colors of charcoal black and white, its factory price is 1,067,000 won(US$1,017) in Korea.
