SEOUL, May 10 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Group has announced plans to construct state-of-the-art smart offices that offer various convenience features based on robotics technology.
The group said Tuesday it has signed a business agreement with IGIS Asset Management Co., the top real estate investor in the country, to facilitate the commercialization of robot-friendly buildings.
As part of the agreement, the smart building operating system that IGIS is currently developing will integrate several of the automotive group’s robot technologies.
Through this partnership, the two companies aim to construct robot-friendly buildings in the primary hubs of high-tech firms, which are significant customers for smart offices.
They will also collaborate on the joint development of robot services optimized for their work environment.
Hyundai Motor Group plans to employ its Robotics Total Solution, which includes unmanned parking and delivery, in new buildings located in the nation’s main business hubs, such as the bio cluster in southwestern Seoul and the Seongsu creative cluster.
