SEOUL, Sep. 6 (Korea Bizwire) – People delight in the captivating allure of the Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow, one of Seoul’s iconic nocturnal vistas, nestled within the enchanting Banpo Hangang Park.
Late on a Tuesday afternoon, as the sun begins its descent, locals and visitors alike flock to this renowned attraction.
Just the previous night, Seoul and Incheon experienced an unusual meteorological phenomenon, a “September tropical night,” drawing crowds into the streets well into the late hours to relish the refreshing evening breeze.
Spanning an impressive 1,140 meters along the upstream and downstream banks of the Han River, the Moonlight Rainbow earned its place in the prestigious Guinness Book of World Records back in 2008 as the world’s longest bridge fountain.
This splendid spectacle unfolds as the radiant lights harmoniously synchronize with the melodic rhythms, casting a mesmerizing palette across the flowing waters of the Han River. The cascading jets from the swaying nozzles create delightful undulating ripples, enhancing the visual spectacle.
The Moonlight Rainbow fountain is in full operation, gracing the cityscape with its brilliance five to six times daily, continuing its enchanting display until October. During Sundays in September, coinciding with the Jamsu Bridge Tttubeok Tttubeok Festival 2023, the fountain takes center stage, erupting every hour from noon until 9 p.m.
An eclectic mix of music genres accompanies this enchanting aquatic performance, adding vibrancy and energy to the atmosphere, making it an event to remember.
