SEOUL, Sept. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul Beauty Week, an annual cosmetics fair organized by the Seoul city government, will kick off at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) next week for a three-day run, showcasing 62 beauty brands, city officials said Wednesday.
The event, marking its third edition this year, will run from next Tuesday to Thursday at DDP in central Seoul, aiming to help boost the competitiveness of South Korea’s beauty industry and support mid-sized cosmetic firms.
Participating firms include cosmetic heavyweights, such as Amorepacific, Kolmar Korea and Aekyung Industrial, alongside smaller players, like Romand, Dinto and Dewytree.
Also on display will be products from Imprintu, a self-tattoo brand by LG H&H, as well as goods from the U.S., Germany, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia.
Some 200 buyers from 36 countries, including global beauty care store chain Watsons, will join the event to meet with Korean beauty manufacturers.
Various experiences will also be offered to visitors, including a makeup show featuring celebrity looks and makeup services for participants.
During the event, pop-up stores from participating firms will be set up in three popular Seoul districts: Myeongdong, Hongdae and Gangnam.
Admission is free, and visitors can register in advance on the Seoul Beauty Week website or at the event site during the fair.
