GOYANG, Korea, Nov 08 (Korea Bizwire) – Korea’s cosmetic brand “Tonymoly” will move in to the U.S. market by signing a sales agreement with Amazon. The company said on November 7 it would sell cosmetic items on the Amazon.com site through a U.S. distributor Misemet.
A company official said, “With a rapid growth of the global business-to-consumer market, more and more American consumers are showing interest in Asia-originated goods.” Misemet, Tonymoly’s U.S. partner in the latest sales deal, specializes in marketing goods procured all across the world in the U.S. market.
Oh Chun-jae, Tonymoly’s senior manager responsible for overseas business, said, “Thanks to the business tie-up with Misemet, we can expand into the U.S. market in both online and brick-and-mortar space. We will do everything we can to make this venture successful. In addition, we will do our best to raise the brand awareness of Tonymoly in other overseas markets.”
Tonymoly and Misemet plan to put the former’s cosmetic items in all 12 Amazon national market sites in the world by the first half next year. Tonymoly is committed to making its brand globally recognizable by using other sales platforms in addition to Amazon.
