Chinese Actress Tang Wei at the 19th Busan International Film Festival

Busan, Oct. 4 (Korea Bizwire) –Chinese actress Tang Wei, who tied the knot with Korean director Kim Tae-yong last month, paid her visit to the 19th Busan International Film Festival as a main character in veteran Hong Kong Director Ann Hui’s new film, “The Golden Era.”

“The Golden Era” is a biopic of female Chinese novelist, poet, and essayist Xiao Hong, who carried out an eventful life in political turmoil in modern Chinese history and died in 1942, at age 32.

Bombarded with reporters’ questions at the press conference, Tang Wei, giving off her particular charm, responded to them thoughtfully in a calm and composed manner and added that she is now living her “golden era” like the film title.

Also, concerning that Chinese films are prone to chase after marketability, the actress stressed that both Chinese and Korean film industry should step up their efforts to make and disseminate wonderful artistic films.
