SEOUL, May 19 (Korea Bizwire) – A software protection solution was put on sale in brick-and-mortar stores as a form of gift card, which caught many of tech shopper’s eyes.
AhnLab, Korea’s leading computer security company, announced that they have begun to sell gift cards for “Personal PC Doctor,” the remote computer/smartphone management service, at HomePlus stores, one of major discount retailers in Korea, all across the nation.
“Personal PC Doctor” is a service that provides desktop computer management, virus check-up, and solutions to system delays for individual computer users by connecting with experts remotely.
The software is first one to be sold in the form of a gift card in the online security industry and can be immediately put into use after the card number, which is printed on the backside of the coupon, is typed onto the company’s website.
Up until now, the security program was available to subscribers only as it could only be purchased through the website, but with the gift card, the purchasing has become much easier process while the solution can be given to friends and family as a gift.
An official at AhnLab said, “The release of the gift card will enhance customer’s convenience in resolving various computer and smartphone problems.”
