SEOUL, March 3 (Korea Bizwire) — The Korean Bar Association (KBA) launched the operation of its own legal counseling platform after conflict with the private legal counseling application LawTalk.
The KBA and the Seoul Bar Association announced on Wednesday that their lawyer information center ‘My Lawyer’ launched a beta service on Feb. 28 and will begin formal operation at the end of this month after one month of reviewing public feedback.
The service provides users with information about lawyers verified by the two bar associations. Users can also search for lawyers by category and region.
If users leave posts on the platform’s inquiry bulletin board, the platform can connect them with lawyers who have interest in their cases.
The platform also has a special section where lawyers can promote the lawsuits they won and publicize their performance.
“With a focus on ensuring the public value of legal services and maintaining the orderly acceptance of services, this platform will provide service for free to all lawyers and citizens,” the Seoul Bar Association said.
