SEOUL, May 10 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s low-cost carriers are competing to offer the cheapest tickets possible due to the decreasing number of overseas travelers during the off-season.
Air Seoul Inc. introduced a “zero-won ticket promotion” last month for all overseas flights.
The promotion offers free flights, with purchasers only having to pay the fuel surcharge and the cost of using aircraft facilities.
The promotion will cover flights to Tokyo (Narita), Osaka (Kansai), and Da Nang until July 20.
Jin Air Co. is offering flight ticket discounts, hotel packages, and other benefits until May 29, to celebrate the reopening of a flight route between Incheon and Macau.
The airline is also offering a 50 percent discount on the cost of a flight for all travelers booking a roundtrip flight for more than two people on a first-come, first-serve basis.
